Contact Crimping
All contacts in AMP plug connectors must be crimped using the crimping tool (PN 295 100 164)CAUTION: If contacts are not crimped using the proper crimping tool, the wire seal may be damaged
CAUTION: Do not pierce the diaphragm with sharp point for electrical troubleshootingThe resulting pin holes in the insulation will allow moisture to penetrate the system and possibly result in system failure
Contact Removal
Signal Contact Insert screwdriver blade between the mating seal and the wedge lock tabRelease the plug locking tab and at the same time, pry open the wedge lock to the open positionCAUTION: The wedge lock should never be removed from the housing for insertion or removal of the signal wire contacts1 2
