CAUTION When disassembling the countershaft, care must be taken to note the direction each major component (dog, gear) facesIf major component is installed facing the wrong direction, transmission damage may occur andor the transmission will malfunctionIn either case, complete disassembly and assembly will be required
Disassembling
3Zero the indicator and rotate the crankshaft slowly
CAUTION
Care should be taken to support the connecting rod when rotating the crankshaft
1Remove the shift forks noting the positions for assembling; then remove the high driven gear outer washer, high driven gear, high driven gear bearing, high driven gear bushing, and high driven gear inner washer
