17Keeping tension on the opposite cam chain, rotate the crankshaft until the second cap screw securing the sprocket to the camshaft can be installed; then install the cap screw (threads coated with red Loctite #271) and tighten to 11 ft-lbBend the tab to secure the cap screw CAUTION
Failure to keep tension on any loose cam chain may cause severe engine damage
18Rotate the crankshaft until the first cap screw (from step 16) can be tightened; then tighten to 11 ft-lbBend the tab to secure the cap screw
AT THIS POINT
Return the engine to TDC on the front cylinder making sure the cam lobes are directed downward to ensure correct starting point for step 19
