CCylinder Head DValve Cover NOTE: Steps 1-5 in the preceding sub-section must precede this procedure
6Place the chain guide into the cylinder
CAUTION
Care should be taken that the bottom of the chain guide is secured in the crankcase boss
9Loosely install the five cylinder head nuts10Using crisscross pattern, tighten the four cap screws (from step 8) initally to 20 ft-lb; then in 10 ft-lb increments, tighten to final torque of 40 ft-lb11Tigthen the mm nuts from step to 18 ft-lb and the mm nuts to ft-lb; then tighten the two cylinder-to-crankcase nuts (from step 4) securely12With the timing inspection plug removed and the chain held tight, rotate the crankshaft until the piston is at top-dead-center13Install the rear cam chain tensioner guide into the cylinder headInstall the pivot cap screw and washer
