2Remove one shoulder screw and lock nut and three plastic rivets (on each side) securing the rear body panel to the footwells INSTALLING 1Remove the gas tank cap and set the rear body panel in position; then install the cap and connect the taillightbrakelight connector2Place the rear rack in position with the bushings and secure with the cap screws and lock nutsTighten securely3Install one shoulder screw and three plastic rivets (on each side) to secure the front of the rear body panel to the footwells
3Remove two machine screws securing the battery cover and remove the cover
4Place the battery into the battery box; then connect the battery (positive cable first) and secure with the battery cover
4Disconnect the battery (negative cable first); then remove the battery5Disconnect the taillightbrakelight; then remove the gas tank cap and lift off the rear body panelInstall the gas tank capNOTE: If the front body panel has not been removed, the left-side and right-side panels and the two machine screws must be removed (see Front Body PanelSide Panels in this section)
