CLEANING AND INSPECTING
NOTE: Whenever part is worn excessively, cracked, or damaged in any way, replacement is necessaryCD760
1Clean and inspect the pivot area for wearApply low-temperature grease to the ends
3Install the tie rods and secure with the slotted nutsTighten to 30 ft-lb; then install new cotter pinsNOTE: If the slots do not align with the holes in the tie rod ends, tighten the nuts just enough to allow installation of the cotter pins
