3The meter must show battery voltageNOTE: If the meter shows no battery voltage, troubleshoot the battery, fuse, receptacle, connector, or the main wiring harness Brakelight Switch (Auxiliary)
The switch connector is the two-prong connector on the brake switch lead above the gas tank on the right sideNOTE: The ignition switch must be in the ON positionFI502
3When the brake pedal is depressed, the meter must show less than ohmNOTE: If the meter shows more than ohm of resistance, replace the switch
VOLTAGE (Wiring Harness Side)
1Set the meter selector to the DC Voltage position2Connect the red tester to the orange wire; then connect the black tester lead to the redblue wire
Brakelight Switch (Handlebar Control)
To access the connector, remove the access panelNOTE: The ignition switch must be in the ON position
