9Remove the shift detent cam10Remove the cam stopper assembly11Remove two starter motor cap screws MD1122

2Install the starter motor and tighten the two cap screws to ft-lbKC217

12Remove starter motor by tapping lightly with malletNOTE: The starter motor is non-serviceable component and must be replaced as an assembly
3Install the shift detent cam making sure the washer is installed
13Using an impact screwdriver, remove the three Phillips-head screws holding the crankshaft bearing retainerRemove the crankshaft bearing retainer
