Servicing Right-Side Components
NOTE: Whenever part is worn excessively, cracked, damaged in any way, or out of tolerance, replacement is necessary
INSPECTING CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH SHOE
1Inspect the clutch shoe for uneven wear, chips, cracks, or discoloration2Inspect the depth of the grooves in the clutch shoesIf any shoe is worn to the bottom of the groove, replace the complete set
2Place the clutch housing onto the clutch shoeoneway clutchNOTE: It will be necessary to rotate the clutch housing counterclockwise to properly seat the one-way clutch
CAUTION
Always replace clutch shoes as complete set or severe imbalance could occur
