Servicing Center Crankcase Components To disassemble the main shaft, use the following procedure1Remove the spacer (A), washer (B), forward gear (C), and forward gear bushing (D)

2Remove the forwardreverse shift dog (E); then remove the snap ring (F)

2Inspect the transmission shafts, bushings, and bearings for excessive wear or discoloration3Check splines for excessive wear or twisting
