REMOVING FRONT DRIVE AXLE
NOTE: For removing front drive axle, see Front Differential in this section
2Wipe away excess grease to access the retaining ringUsing an awl or circlip pliers, remove the circlip
CLEANING AND INSPECTING AXLES
NOTE: Always clean and inspect the drive axle components to determine if any service or replacement is necessary
1Using clean towel, wipe away any oil or grease from the axle components
3Using snap ring pliers, remove the snap ring securing the bearing ring to the shaftNote the direction of the bearing for assembling purposes
