4Place punch on the edge of the lock collar in the oil gallery area; then using hammer, stake the lock collar to ensure that the collar will remain securely tightened
2Place the pinion assembly in bearing puller; then install the bearing using pressCC891
5Install the shift fork shaft wspring into the housing making sure the shaft O-ring is positioned to the inside
3Install the pinion gear assembly into the housingUsing the 48 mm Internal Hex Socket, secure the pinion gear assembly with the existing lock collarTighten to 125 ft-lbNOTE: On front differential, the lock collar has right-hand threadsOn rear gear casedifferential, the lock collar has left-hand threadsCC892
