4Using seal removal tool, remove the input shaft sealAccount for spacer Assembling Input Shaft 1Place the pinion housing in press and install the input shaft bearingSecure the bearing with the existing snap ring making sure the sharp edge of the snap ring faces to the outside
5Remove the snap ring securing the input shaft bearing; then place the pinion housing in press and remove the bearing
2Install the input shaft seal making sure it is flush with the edge of the housing3Lubricate the input shaft with High-Performance #2 Molybdenum Disulphide Grease packing the boot ribs and splines; then assemble allowing excess grease to freely escapeSlight pressure on the boot will be present during assemblySecure with new clampsNOTE: Any time drive splines are separated, clean all splines with parts-cleaning solvent and dry with compressed air; then lubricate with recommended grease
