Stator CoilCrankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor VOLTAGE (AC GeneratorRegulated Output) 1Set the meter selector to the DC Voltage position2Connect the red tester lead to the positive battery post; then connect the black tester lead to the negative battery post3With the engine running at constant 5000 RPM (with the headlights on), the meter must show 14-15.5 DC volts
NOTE: If both stator coil tests failed, check all connections, etc and test againIf no voltage is present, replace the stator assembly
RESISTANCE (AC Generator)
CAUTION
Always disconnect the battery when performing resistance tests to avoid damaging the multimeter
1Set the meter selector to OHMS position2Test between the three yellow wires (H1) or the three black wires (H2) for total of three tests3The meter reading must be within specificationRESISTANCE (Crankshaft Position Sensor) 1Set the meter selector to the OHMS position2Connect the red tester lead to the blue wire; then connect the black tester lead to the green wireThe meter reading must be within specificationAC VOLTAGE
