Switches Each time the vehicle is used, switches should be checked for proper operationUse the following list for referenceAIgnitionstart switch engine will run; starter will engageBDrive select switch differential will engage (4WD)disengage (2WD)CReverseneutralhighlow switch RNHL will be indicated on the LCDDHeadlight switch high beam, low beam, and lights off can be selectedEBrake switch brakelight illuminates and starter can be engaged with vehicle in gear
NOTE: The ignition switch must be in the ON position
VOLTAGE (Wiring Harness Connector) 1Set the meter selector to the DC Voltage position2Connect the red tester lead to the orange wire; then connect the black tester lead to ground

Electrical Connections
The electrical connections should be checked periodically for proper functionIn case of an electrical failure, check fuses, connections (for tightness, corrosion, damage), andor bulbs
3The meter must show battery voltageNOTE: If the meter shows no battery voltage, troubleshoot the battery, fuse, switch, or the main wiring harnessNOTE: If the meter shows battery voltage, the main wiring harness is good; proceed to test the switchcomponent, the connector, and the switch wiring harness for resistance
