Joining Crankcase Halves (GenI)
1Using rubber bands, support the connecting rods to align with the cylinder bores
2Coat both sides with motor oil; then install the spacer washer on the crankshaft with the radius directed toward the crankshaft
9Engage the shift forks into the gear shift shaft and push the shift fork shaft into the crankcase
AT THIS POINT
Proper transmission shifting should be verified by turning the gear shift shaft to select High, Low, Neutral, and Reverse while rotating the input shaft and observing the countershaft rotation
