APiston still at top-dead-centerBCamshaft lobes directed down (toward the piston)CCamshaft alignment marks offset from the valve cover mating surfaceDRecessed side of the sprocket directed toward the cam lobesECamshaft alignment pin and sprocket alignment hole (smallest) are aligned
24Rotate the crankshaft until the second cap screw securing the sprocket to the camshaft can be installed; then install the cap screw (threads coated with red Loctite #271) and tighten to 11 ft-lbBend the tab to secure the cap screw
CAUTION
If any of the above factors are not as stated go back to step 19 and carefully proceed
22Place tab-washer onto the sprocket making sure it covers the pin in the alignment hole
