CLEANING AND INSPECTING
NOTE: Whenever part is worn excessively, cracked, or damaged in any way, replacement is necessary
7Remove the cotter pins; then remove the two inner tie rod ends from the steering post
1Wash the tie rod ends in parts-cleaning solventDry with compressed airInspect the pivot area for wearApply low-temperature grease to the ends

2Inspect the tie rods for damaged threads or wear3Inspect the tie rods for cracks or unusual bendsMD2136
