5Remove the hub assembly; then on the Utility, remove the disc cover
8Remove the shock absorber mounting cap screws; then remove the shock absorber assembly9Using ball joint remover, remove the ball joints from the knuckle; then remove the front bumperCLEANING AND INSPECTING
NOTE: Whenever part is worn excessively, cracked, or damaged in any way, replacement is necessary
1Clean the knuckle in parts-cleaning solvent; then dry with compressed airIf any damage or excessive wear is detected, the knuckle must be replacedKM569

6Remove the cotter pin and slotted nut securing the tie rod end to the knuckle; then remove the tie rod end from the knuckle
2Inspect the ball joint for boot damage or wearReplace the A-arm if the ball joint is damaged or worn3Inspect the arm for broken welds, cracks, or bendsReplace if damaged4Remove the bushings and dust seals and inspect for damage to seal lips and spacersNOTE: The pivots are equipped with roller bearingsThe bearing rollers may fall out when the spacers are removed
