RESISTANCE (LO Beam) 1Connect the red tester lead to the white wire; then connect the black tester lead to the brownblack wire2With the dimmer switch in the LO position, the meter must show less than ohmNOTE: If the meter reads more than ohm of resistance, troubleshoot or replace the switchcomponent or the connector Magneto Coils
VOLTAGE (Charging CoilOutput) 1Set the meter selector to the DC Voltage position2Connect the red tester lead to the positive battery post; then connect the black tester lead to the negative battery post3With the engine running at constant 5000 RPM (with the headlights on), the meter must show 14-15.5 DC volts
RESISTANCE (Starter Button) 1Set the meter selector to the OHMS position2Connect the red tester lead to the blackwhite wire; then connect the black tester lead to the yellowred wire3With the starter button depressed, the meter must show less than ohm4With the starter button released, the meter must show an open circuitNOTE: If the meter does not show as specified, replace the switchcomponent or connector
