If valves are discolored or pitted or if the seating surface is worn, the valve must be replacedDo not attempt to grind the valves or severe engine damage may occur
Assembling Valves 1Thoroughly clean all valve components in parts-cleaning solvent; then dry with compressed air
4Place spring seat, valve spring, and spring cap into position; then using suitable valve spring compressor, compress the spring and install the valve keepers onto the valve stem
