2Mount dial indicator and base on the surface platePosition the indicator contact at point of the crankshaft COUNTERSHAFT

3Zero the indicator and rotate the crankshaft slowly

When disassembling the countershaft, care must be taken to note the direction each major component (dog, gear) facesIf major component is installed facing the wrong direction, transmission damage may occur andor the transmission will malfunctionIn either case, complete disassembly and assembly will be required
