Disassembling Crankcase Halves 1Remove one remaining cap screw from the right-side crankcase half; then tap the right-side crankcase half from the left side leaving the crankshaft in the left sideAccount for gasket and two alignment pinsYT122

The center components are now disassembled for inspection
Servicing Crankcase Components

1Inspect the crankshaft, crankshaft bearings, and connecting rod for excessive wear, damage, or discoloration2Using thickness gauge, check for the side-to-side clearance between the connecting rod and crankshaftClearance must not be greater than specified
