Handlebar Control Switches Two white connectors join the handlebar control switch pigtail to the main harnessThe connectors are located in front of the steering postNOTE: These tests should be made on the switch side of the connectors with the connectors uncoupled
2Connect the red tester lead to the brownblue wire; then connect the black tester lead to the blackwhite wire3With the switch in the OFF position, the meter must show an open circuit4With the switch in the RUN position, the meter must show less than ohmNOTE: If the meter shows more than ohm of resistance, troubleshoot or replace the switchcomponent or the connector
RESISTANCE (Reverse Override) 1Set the meter selector to the OHMS position2Connect the red tester lead to the greenred wire; then connect the black tester lead to the bluered wireThe meter must show an open circuit3Depress and hold the reverse override buttonThe meter must show less than ohm of resistanceNOTE: If the meter does not show as specified, replace the switchcomponent or connector
