Brakelight Switch (Front Brake)
The switch pigtail connects to the main wiring harness with two separate bullet-type connectors directly in front of the upper steering shaft bearing
Brakelight Switch
(Rear Brake)
The switch has spade-type connectors which engage the harness connectors at the switchNOTE: The ignition switch must be in the ON position
VOLTAGE (Wiring Harness Connector) 1Set the meter selector to the DC Voltage position2Connect the red tester lead to the black wire; then connect the black tester lead to ground3The meter must show battery voltageNOTE: If the meter shows no battery voltage, troubleshoot the battery, fuse, switch, or the main wiring harnessNOTE: If the meter shows battery voltage, the main wiring harness is good; proceed to test the switchcomponent, the connector, and the switch wiring harness for resistance

NOTE: The ignition switch must be in the ON position
