CLEANING AND INSPECTING NOTE: Whenever part is worn excessively, cracked, or damaged in any way, replacement is necessary
NOTE: If the front body panel has not been installed, see Front Body PanelSide Panels in this section
1Clean all rear body panel components with warm soap and water2Inspect side panels and rear body panel for cracks and loose rivets3Inspect threaded areas of all mounting bosses for stripping4Inspect for missing decalsINSTALLING 1Remove the gas tank cap and set the rear body panel in position; then install the cap and connect the taillightbrakelight connector2Place the rear rack in position with the bushings and secure with the cap screws and lock nutsTighten securely3Install one shoulder screw and three plastic rivets (on each side) to secure the front of the rear body panel to the footwells
6Place the seat into position making sure it locks securely
Taillight Assembly
REMOVING 1Unplug the three-prong connector and free the taillight wiring harness from the frame2Remove the torx-head cap screws securing the taillight assembly to the frameAccount for any washers3Remove the taillight assemblyINSPECTING
