4Inspect the brake hose for cracks and deterioration and the condition of the fittings (threaded and compression)5Inspect the brakelight switch for corrosion, cracks, missing or broken mounting tabs, or broken and frayed wiringNOTE: If the brakelight switch is determined to be not serviceable, see Section 5 INSTALLING
NOTE: Wash all master cylinder components in new brake fluid before assemblingDo not dry componentsSP437
6Fill the master cylinder with DOT brake fluid; then bleed the system (see Section 2)
1Apply brake fluid to the master cylinder bore; then install the springprimary cup and the pistonsecondary cup into the master cylinder2Install the circlip; then install the rubber boot3Align the master cylinder mount (A) to the punch mark (B) on the handlebar (E); then install the clamp bolts (D)
