Secondary Winding 1Connect the red tester lead to the high tension lead (plug cap removed); then connect the black tester lead to ground2The meter reading must be within specificationNOTE: If the meter does not show as specified, replace ignition coil 2Disconnect the four-wire connector from the main wiring harnessNOTE: For these tests, 12-volt power supply "jumper" should be used to supply power
WATER TEMPERATURE INDICATOR LIGHT 1Connect the jumper positive wire to the power source terminal on the indicator light connector2Connect the jumper ground wire to the bluewhite (temperature) wire on the indicator light connector3The water temperature indicator light should illuminateNEUTRAL INDICATOR LIGHT 1Connect the jumper positive wire to the power source terminal on the indicator light connector2Connect the jumper ground wire to the blueblack (neutral) wire on the indicator light connector3The neutral indicator light should illuminateREVERSE INDICATOR LIGHT
Spark Plug Cap 1Connect the red tester lead to one end of the cap; then connect the black tester lead to the other end of the cap
