When installing the spark plug, make sure to tighten it securelyA new spark plug should be tightened 12 turn once the washer contacts the cylinder headA used spark plug should be tightened 18-14 turn once the washer contacts the cylinder head
3Install the spark arrester and secure with the cap screwTighten securely
GasVent Hoses
Replace the gas hose every two yearsDamage from aging may not always be visibleDo not bend or obstruct the routing of the carburetor vent hoseMake sure that the vent hose is securely connected to the carburetor and the opposite end is always open
MufflerSpark Arrester
The muffler has spark arrester which must be periodically cleanedAt the intervals shown in the Periodic Maintenance Chart, clean the spark arrester using the following procedure
