INSTALLING MUFFLER 1Place the muffler into position engaging the mounting lugs into the grommets; then slide the muffler forward
=NOTE: If the front body panel has not been removed, the left-side and right-side panels and the two machine screws must be removed (see Front Body Panellside Panels in this section)
2Install the two exhaust springs
CLEANING AND INSPECTING
iNOTE: Whenever part is worn excessively, cracked, or damaged in any way, replacement is necessary
Rear Body PanelIRack
REMOVING
1Remove the cap screws and lock nuts securing the rear rack; then remove the rear rackAccount for the bushings
1Clean all rear body panel components with warm soap and water2Inspect side panels and rear body panel for cracks and loose rivets3Inspect threaded areas of all mounting bosses for stripping
2Remove one shoulder screw and lock nut and three plastic rivets (on each side) securing the rear body panel to the footwells
