DIODE (Starter Button) iNOTE: If voltage is not as specified, check the condition of the battery in the meter prior to replacing the switchA low battery will result in low voltage reading during diode test
4Connect the red tester lead to the blue wire; then connect the black meter lead to the black wireThe meter must show an open circuit5Depress and hold the reverse override buttonThe meter must show less than ohm=NOTE: If the meter does not show as specified, replace the switchcomponent, connector, or switch harness
1Set the meter selector to the Diode position2Connect the red tester lead to the orangelwhite wire; then connect the black tester lead to the yellowlgreen wire3With the starter button depressed, the meter must show 0.5-0.7 DC volts
Front Drive Selector Switch
The connector is the two-wire black snap-lock one in front of the steering postTo access the connector, the cover must be removed=NOTE: Resistance tests should be made with the connector disconnected and on the selector-side of the connector
