3Disconnect the hose from the fuel pump to the carburetorlthrottle body 4Remove the cap screws securing the gas tank to the frame5Disconnect the fuel gauge connector; then remove the gas tank
4Remove the fuel level sensorlfuel pick-up assembly and inspect the fuel level sensor and fuel screenINOTE: If the fuel level sensor has failed or may be faulty, see Electric Fuel PumpIFuel Level Sensor (EFI Models) in this section
CLEANING AND INSPECTING
INOTE: Whenever part is worn excessively, cracked, or damaged in any way, replacement is necessary
INSTALLING 1Install the fuel level sensorlfuel pick-up assembly2Place the gas tank into position in the frame; then install the cap screwsTighten securely3Connect the gas hose from the carburetorlthrottle body; then connect the fuel gauge connector
