Check for flashing EFI icon on the LCDIf EFI is flashing, see ECU Error Codes (EFI Models) in Section 5Make sure there is sufficient, clean gas in the gas tankVerify that the battery is sufficiently charged to crank the engine over at normal speedCheck the air filter housing and air filter for contaminationClean or replace as necessary (see Section 2)REMOVING 5Place the throttle actuator cover into position on the carburetor; then secure with the screw1Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position; then remove the ignition switch key Do not turn the ignition switch to the ON position with the hoses removedGasoline will be pumped by the electric fuel pump causing safety hazard
2Disconnect the battery; then remove the seat3Remove the storage compartment cover and air filter housing cover; then remove the air filter
Position the carburetor in the air cleaner boot and intake pipe assembly; then secure with the clampsConnect the hose from the carburetor to the gas tankAs necessary, secure the air-intake snorkel, the air filter housing cover, or the air filter housingInstall the seat
