Measuring Connecting Rod (Big End Side-to-Side) 1Push the lower end of the connecting rod to one side of the crankshaft journal2Using feeler gauge, measure the gap between the connecting rod and crankshaft ournal INCITE: Proceed to check runout on the other end of the crankshaft by positioning the indicator contact at point and following steps 3-4
Measuring Crankshaft (Web-to-Web) 1Using calipers, measure the distance from the outside edge of one web to the outside edge of the other web
3 Maximum gap range must not exceed specifications
