Correcting Tooth Contact
INOTE: If tooth contact pattern is comparable the correct pattern illustration, correction necessary
1Remove the secondary driven output shaft assembly from the left-side crankcase half2Clean the secondary driven bevel gear teeth of old oil and grease residue3Apply thin, even coat of machinist-layout dye to several teeth of the gear
If tooth contact pattern is comparable to an incorrect pattern, correct tooth contact according to the following chart
1 Tooth Contact Contacts at Top
1 Contacts at Root
1 Shim Correction increase Shim Thickness
1Thickness Shim
