2It is inadvisable to remove the screw securing the pump halvesIf the oil pump is damaged, it must be replaced CC924
5Place the primary gear assembly on clean, flat surface; then install the primary washer into the assembly
Installing Right-Side Components
AOil Strainerfoil Pump BGear Shift Shaft
1Place the oil strainer into position beneath the crankcase and tighten securely with the Phillips-head cap screws
6Place the clutch hub assembly into the primary gear assembly
2Place the strainer cap into position on the strainer making sure new O-ring is properly installed and secure with the cap screws; then install and tighten the oil drain plug to 16 ft-lbThe clutch hub and the pressure plate must be seated in the proper positionIf any of the incorrect positions are used, the hub and plate will have clearance between them and they will not operate properly
