CInstall the compression rings (1 and 2) so the
letter on the top surface of each ring faces the dome of the pistonRotate the rings until the ring end gaps are on directly opposite sides of the piston (see illustration)
INOTE: The chrome (silver) ring should be installed in the top position
3Lubricate the inside wall of the cylinder; then using ring compressor or the fingers, compress the rings and slide the cylinder over the pistonRoute the cam chain up through the cylinder cam chain housing; then remove the piston holder and seat the cylinder firmly on the crankcase
A CAUTIONThe cylinder should slide on easilyDo not force the cylinder or damage to the piston, rings, cylinder, or crankshaft assembly may occur
