14Remove the snap ring securing the oil pump driven gear (A); then remove the gear noting the direction of the sides of the gear for installing purposesAccount for pin and washer Servicing Right-Side Components
1NOTE: Whenever part is worn excessively, cracked, damaged in any way, or out of tolerance, replacement is necessary
INSPECTING CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH SHOE
1Inspect the clutch shoes for uneven wear, chips, cracks, or discolorationIf any shoe is damaged, replace the complete set
2Inspect the clutch shoes for wear or damageIf any shoe is worn to the bottom of the groove, replace the complete set
Always replace the clutch shoes as complete or severe imbalance could occur
