Slowly release the friction plate and lift the plate with ratchet guide free of the recoil case; then remove the ratchet guide from the friction plate B602D
Remove the spring cover, spring, and shaft; then remove the ratchet and account for the pin
Care must be taken when lifting the reel free of the caseWear safety glasses to avoid injury
6Remove the protective cover from the starter handle and pull the rope out of the handle: then untie the knotin the ropi and remove the handleWNOTE: Do not remove the spiral spring unless
replacement is necessaryIf replacement is necessary, follow steps 7-8
7Remove the spiral spring from the case by lifting the spring end up and outHold the remainder of the spring with thumbs and alternately release each thumb to allow the spring to gradually release from the case8Unwind the rope from the reel and remove the ropeCleaning and Inspecting
