27Install the four top-side cap screws with rubber washers; then install the remaining cap screwsTighten only until snug 23Place the cam chain tensioner assembly and gasket into the cylinder making sure the ratchet side is facing toward the top of the cylinder and secure with the two Allen-head screws
28In crisscross pattern starting from the center and working outward, tighten the cap screws (from step 27) to ft-lb29Adjust valveltappet clearance (see Section 2)30Place the two tappet covers with O-rings into position; then install and tighten the cap screws securely
24Install the cap screw and spring into the end of the cam chain tensionerTighten securely
3 Install the spark plug and tighten to 12 ft-lb, then install the timing inspection plug

Loosen the adjuster screw jam nuts; then loosen the adjuster screws on the rocker arms in the valve coverApply thin coat of Three Bond Sealant to the mating surface of the valve cover; then place the valve cover into positionNote that the two alignment pins are properly positionedINOTE: At this point, the rocker arms and adjuster screws must not have pressure on them
