2Place strip of plasti-gauge in each of the camshaft lands in the cylinder head 3Place the valve cover on the cylinder head and secure with the valve cover cap screwsTighten securelyINOTE: Do not rotate the camshaft when measuring clearance
iNOTE: If the journals are worn, replace the camshaft; then measure the clearance againIf it is still out of tolerance, replace the cylinder head
