2Remove the drain plug and drain the gear lubricant into drain pan; then reinstall the plug AF895D
9Remove the tie rod lock nutsCF107B
3Remove the front wheels; then remove the front inner fender panels4Compress the hand brake; then engage the brake lever lock5Remove the cotter pin securing the hex nut; then remove the hex nut and washer
10Remove the upper ball joint cap screws taking care not to strip the threads on the ball joint shaft; then using rubber mallet, tap the end of the axle and free it from the knuckle assembly
