RESISTANCE
! CAUTION
Always disconnect the battery when performing resistance tests to avoid damaging the multimeter
NOTE: Perform this test on the upper side of the connector
1Turn the ignition switch to the ON position2Set the meter selector to the OHMS positionCD070
3Install the new speed sensor into the housing with new O-ring lightly coated with multi-purpose grease; then secure the sensor with the Allen-head cap screw (threads coated with blue Loctite #242)Tighten securely
3Connect the red tester lead to the red wire; then connect the black tester lead to the redblack wire4The meter must show less than ohm5Turn the ignition switch to the LIGHTS position6Connect the red tester lead to the red wire; then connect the black tester lead to the redblack wire7The meter must show less than ohm8Connect the red tester lead to the red wire; then connect the black tester lead to the gray wire9The meter must show less than ohm10With the switch in the OFF position, connect the red tester lead to the red wire and the black tester lead to each of the remaining wiresThe meter must show an open circuit on all wires
