CLEANING AND INSPECTING NOTE: Whenever part is worn excessively, cracked, or damaged in any way, replacement is necessary
Oil FilterOil Pump
NOTE: Whenever internal engine components wear excessively or break and whenever oil is contaminated, the oil pump should be replacedThe oil pump is not serviceable component
1Remove the fuel level sensor and fuel pick-up screenAccount for seal2Completely drain all contaminated fuel from the fuel tank; then thoroughly wash the tank out with hot, soapy water3Dry the tank interior with compressed airRepeat steps and until all contaminants are removed4Back-flush the fuel screen with hot, soapy water and dry with compressed airNOTE: If any "pin-holes" are noted in the fuel screen, replace the fuel level sensor assembly
Testing Oil Pump Pressure
NOTE: The engine must be warmed up to the specified temperature for this test
