The countershaft is now assembled and ready for installation AT THIS POINT
If the drive bevel gear assembly or secondary output shaft assemblies were disassembled, use the following procedure to assemble them
9Install new output drive bearings in the left and right transmission cases; then install the output shaft into the right-side transmission bearingDE189A
10Install the output driven gear, shims, drive bevel gear, and washer onto the secondary output shaft; then install new retaining nut and tighten to 87 ft-lbStake the retaining nut to the shaft
