5Clean the threads of the cylinder head bolts on wire wheel; then measure the length of the boltBolt length must not exceed 91 mm6Apply clean engine oil to the threads of the cylinder head bolts, washers, the bolt heads, and the thrust areas; then install and hand tighten7Tighten the head bolts to 36 ft-lb in ft-lb increments using the pattern shown
