4Inspect all fasteners and grommets for damage or wearINSTALLING 1Position the fanfan shroud assembly on the radiator; then secure with existing hardware2Place the radiator with grommets and collars into position on the frame; then install the cap screws and nutsTighten securely3Install the upper and lower coolant hoses; then secure with hose clamps ASuspend the thermostat in container filled with waterBHeat the water and monitor the temperature with thermometerCThe thermostat should start to open at 73.5-76.5 (164-170 F) on the 500H1 Models and 80.5-83.5 (177-182 F) on the 700 EFIDIf the thermostat does not open, it must be replaced3Inspect all coolant hoses, connections, and clamps for deterioration, cracks, and wearNOTE: All coolant hoses and clamps should be replaced every four years or 4000 miles
INSTALLING 1Place the thermostat and O-ring into the thermostat housing; then secure the thermostat housing to the cylinder head with the two cap screws2Install the crossover coolant hose onto the water pump and engine water inletSecure with the two hose clamps3Slide the upper hose onto the thermostat housing and radiatorSecure with the two hose clamps4Install the lower coolant hose onto the water pump housing and radiatorSecure with the two hose clamps5Fill the cooling system with the recommended amount of antifreezeCheck for leakage
