2Lightly oil all bearings and grease all shafts in the right-side crankcase3Making sure to align the shafts and alignment pins, join the two crankcase halves ! CAUTION
Do not heat the bearing in the right-side crankcase halfDamage to the oil seal will occur
4Using plastic mallet, lightly tap the case halves together until cap screws can be installedFI291

11Install the rear secondary driven shaft assembly into the left side of the crankcase making sure the bearing locating pin (1) is facing upward and the bearing C-ring (2) is fully seated in the crankcase
5From the right side, install the mm cap screws (two inside the case); then tighten only until snugNOTE: Rotate the shafts back and forth to ensure no binding or sticking occurs

7In crisscross pattern, tighten the mm cap screws (from step 5) until the halves are correctly joined; then tighten to 19 ft-lbNOTE: Rotate the shafts back and forth to ensure no binding or sticking occursFI288A
