Servicing ValvesValve GuidesValve Seats If valves, valve guides, or valve seats require servicing or replacement, Arctic Cat recommends that the components be taken to qualified machine shop for servicing ! CAUTION
If any valve is discolored or pitted or if the seating surface is worn, the valve must be replacedDo not attempt to grind valve or severe engine damage may occur

3Rotate the valve in the blocks4Maximum runout must not exceed specificationsMeasuring Valve Stem Deflection (Wobble Method) 1Mount dial indicator and base on the surface plate; then place the cylinder head on the surface plate2Install the valve into the cylinder head; then position the dial indicator contact point against the outside edge of the valve faceZero the indicator
Installing Valves 1Apply grease to the inside surface of the valve seals; then place lower spring seat and valve guide seal over each valve guide
