23In crisscross pattern, tighten the cap screws (from step 21) to ft-lb
20Place the gasket and left-side cover into position on the crankcaseNOTE: It may be necessary to push or pull the splined HiLow range shift shaft to establish covercrankcase mating
21Install the cap screws to secure the left-side coverDo not tighten at this timeNote the location of the long cap screw with rubber washer
